Pendlebury was underage and required his parents permission to enlist and serve overseas.
Embarked Fremantle per ‘Ormonde’ for England 13.3.1918.
Roll Rank Acting Lance Corporal.
Roll Unit 28th Battalion, 22nd Reinf.
Pendlebury disembarked at Suez and marched in to the Australian Camp Suez 4.4.1918. The 51st Bn transferred to Port Tewfik for embarkation overseas 30.4.1918. They embarked per T15 ‘Ellenga’ for England 30.4.1918. The Bn. disembarked at Southampton 15.5.1918. They marched in to the 5th Training Bn. Fovant and reverted to rank 15.5.1918. Pearman was transferred to the 51st Bn. Details at Codford with the 12th Training Bn 4.6.1918.
The Bn. proceeded overseas to France via Folkestone 15.8.1918. They marched into the Australian Training Depot Base 17.8.1918 ex 22nd Reinf. 28th Bn.  He is likely to have fought with his battaalion on the final assualt on the Hindenburg Line 18.9.1918.  Pendlebury was admitted to hospital sick with septic pharyngitis 8.10.1918. He was transferred to the hospital at Rouen 16.10.1918. He was transferred to the 2nd Convalescent Hospital 19.10.1918. He rejoined his Unit 19.11.1918. Pendlebury marched out from France for return to England 20.5.1919. He disembarked at Southampton and marched in to Hurdcott for return to Australia 21.5.1919.
Embarked Southampton for Australia per HT ‘City of Exeter’ 12.7.1919.
Returned/Disembarked Fremantle 16.8.1919.
Discharged 9.9.1919.
