Embarked Fremantle per HMAT A30 ‘Borda’ for England 29.6.1917.
Roll Rank Private.
Roll Unit 25th Reinforcement 16th Battalion. Infantry.
Collins disembarked at Plymouth with the 25th Reinforcement of the 16th Battalion 25.8.1917. He marched in to Codford to 4th Training Battalion 26.8.1917. He was allocated to the 4th Division Signallers School 26.1.1918. In August he proceeded overseas to France with 16th Training Battalion 29.8.1918. Collins transferred to from 16th to 48th Battalion 26.9.1918. He was reported missing during the Allied offensive near Amiens 29.8.1918. He became separated from his unit, and when rejoined he was removed from the ‘Missing’ list. Collins was promoted to Temporary Corporal 5.3.1919. He reverted to rank 2.5.1919 and was listed for return to Australia.
Embarked for Australia per ‘City of Exeter’ 12.7.1919.
Returned/Disembarked Fremantle 16.8.1919.
Discharged 16.9.1919.
Final Rank Temporary Corporal 48th Battalion. Australian Imperial Force.

Notes Rueben died in York aged 43 on 20.7.1953 at Beaufort Hospital (West Australian 21.7.1953, page 24 and 22.7.1953, page 24) and was interred at York Cemetery on 21.7.1953 (West Australian 21.7.1953, page 24)
