Embarked Fremantle per HMAT ‘Hororata’ A20 for Egypt 26.4.1915.

Unit Rank 3rd Reinforcement, 10th Light Horse Regiment.
Brown disembarked at Suez with the 3rd Reinforcement 10th Light Horse. He was admitted to Hospital. On his discharge he was taken on Strength with his unit 16.5.1915. He embarked with Mediterranean Expeditionary Force for Gallipoli 13.7.1915. Brown was wounded in action at ANZAC- Walker’s Ridge 12.8.1915, with a bullet wound to his left thigh. He embarked on the Hospital Ship ‘Dunbar’ for Malta 12.8.1915. He was admitted 3rd Australian General Hospital 21.8.1916 and was transferred by Hospital Ship to England with a disability; from the ship he was admitted to King George’s Hospital. He was transferred to 5th Training Regiment 23.10.1916. He re-embarked for Egypt and was transferred to 3rd Light Horse Brigade Machine Gun Section in Egypt 15.11.1916. He fought with the 3rd Light Horse Machine Gun Section at Raffa. He was again wounded in action with a gunshot wound to his left foot 9.1.1917. On discharge he was transferred to the Imperial School of Instruction at Zeitun 25.2.1917. Brown was hospitalised with a disability 13.10.1918. Following demobilisation he embarked for Australia.
Embarked Kantara per HT ’Oxfordshire’ for Australia 10.7.1919.
Returned/Disembarked at Fremantle 4.8.1919.
Discharged 28.11.1919.
Final Rank Trooper/ Private, 10th Light Horse Regiment, 3rd Light Horse Brigade.
