Embarked Fremantle per HMAT ‘Medic for Egypt 18.1.1916.
Roll Rank Private.
Roll Unit 7th Infantry Brigade, 28th Battalion, 7th Reinf.
Passmore disembarked at Alexandria with his unit 16.2.1916. They embarked per HT ’Minnietonka’ for the UK 2.6.1916 and disembarked at Plymouth 12.6.1916. The unit marched in to Rollestone to the 7th Training Bn. After several months of training, they embarked for France from Folkestone per SS ’Victoria’ 13.12.1916. Parsons with admitted to Rouen Hospital with a debility 30.12.1916 and then transferred to No. 51 General Hospital at Rouen 11.1.1917. He rejoined his Unit in the trenches of the Somme 22.1.1917. He was re admitted with a debility on a number of occasions. Passmore fought with the 28th Bn. throughout 1917-1918.  The 28th Battalion fought on the Somme at Bullecourt, Menin Road, Broodsende Ridge, Poelcappelle, Amiens.  He was recorded as AWOL 29.6.1918. His unit marched in to Sutton Veny from France 28.3.1919. Passmore married Gertrude Jane Cox (widow) 3.5.1919. He was demobilised and returned to Australia with wife and child.
Embarked for Australia per ‘Indarra’ with wife and child 12.7.1919.
Returned/Disembarked Fremantle 29.8.1919.
Discharged 21.10.1919.
