Embarked Fremantle HMAT 'Themistocles' A32 for Egypt 13.10.1916
Roll Rank Private.
Roll Unit 10th Reinforcement, 10th Light Horse, 3rd Australian Light Horse Brigade.
Bostock disembarked at Suez with the 9th Light Horse. He marched in to Heliopolis and then to Serapeum 26.2.1916. He was admitted sick to hospital 6.9.1916 with septic sores 8.9.1916. Bostock was wounded at Shellal 21.6.1917.
He sustained an injury- gunshot wound to his finger 26.6.1917 and was admitted to hospital; he developed jaundice 29.8.1918 and was then transferred to hospital in Port Said 30.8.1918. Bostock was discharged from hospital to Cairo and took leave 24.9.1918. He marched in to Moascar 11.10.1918. Bostock was again admitted to hospital, this time with influenza 13.10.1918. He was transferred to the 10th Light Horse 9.10.1918 and promoted to Temporary Corporal 11.5.1919. Bostock was promoted to Temporary Sergeant 20.5.1919 then to Sergeant 10th Light Horse 5.7.1919.
Embarked for Australia per ’Oxfordshire’ 10.7.1919.
Returned/Disembarked Fremantle 4.8.1919.
Discharged 26.9.1919.
Final Rank Sergeant, 10th Light Horse Regiment, 3rd Australian Light Horse Brigade.
