Embarked Melbourne per HMAT ‘Persic’ A34 for Egypt 22.11.1915.

Roll Unit 6th Field Artillery Brigade, 16th Battery.
Price disembarked at Suez. His unit joined the MEF to reinforce for the 6th Artillery Bde. in Egypt. Following the evacuation of ANZAC, there was a reorganisation of troops. The 16th Battery was moved to Alexandria and joined the BEF. Price became sick and was hospitalised 30.12.1916. He was discharged from Hospital and joined his Unit at Tura 3.1.1916. He embarked for France 17.12.1916. The 16th disembarked a Marseilles and marched in to Havre 23.12.1916. The 16th fought in the first Battle of the Somme. Price fell sick with influenza and was taken by the 7th Field Ambulance to hospital 26.4.1916. He was discharged back to his Unit 27.6.1916. He was again sick 26.12.1916 and admitted to the ANZAC Clearing Station. He was discharged form Duty 30.12.1916 and joined his unit the next day. He was hospitalised over the next few months with respiratory problems and debility. Price injured his left knee in France and was hospitalised at Abbeville 22.10.1917. He continued to serve with the 6th Bde. on the Western Front at Bullecourt, Menin Road, Broodseinde, Passchendaele and Hamel. He was admitted to Hospital sick 19.2.1919 and admitted to the 20th Casualty Clearing Station dangerously ill with Bronchial Pneumonia.
Price Died of Disease 12.2.1919 his death was considered due to ‘exposure’ whilst on Military Duty. He was buried in the Charleroi Communal Cemetery, Charleroi, Hainault, Wallonie, Belgium.

Medical Condition Deceased, died of disease- bronchio pneumonia.
