Promoted to Warrant Officer 26.10.1917 to 22.12.1917.
Embarked Fremantle SS ‘Canberra’ 23.11.1917.

Roll Unit 2nd Reinforcement 13th Railway Corps.
Clark disembarked at Suez with the 13th Railway Corps 21.12.1917. Two and a half weeks later he embarked per HMT ‘Kashgar’ at Port Said 9.1.1918 with the British Expeditionary Force for service in France. Clark Disembarked at Taranto in Italy 20.1.1917 before continuing on to England. He disembarked at Southampton 30.1.1918 and marched in to training at Longmoor on 23.1.1918. After 2 months of intensive training he proceeded overseas to France 20.3.1918 with Australian Light Railway Operating Company. Clark was transferred to the Australian Base Depot 28.3.1918 and transferred to Australian Corp Training School 19.5.18. He was then transferred to the 3rd Australian Light Rail Operating Company then to 5th Australian Broad Gauge Rail Operating Company 4.6.1918. Clark was diagnosed with rheumatism and hospitalised 3.3.1919. He also sustained an injury his left ankle 10.3.1919.
Embarked ‘Marathon’ from England 19.4.1919.
Returned/Disembarked Fremantle 31.5.1919.
Discharged 26.6.1919 Invalided with old ankle injury.
Final Rank Warrant Officer Class 1, Broad Gauge Railway Operating Company.
